If we were to relaunch DDRExtreme.co.uk.......

This is something I've been thinking about for a while now - and with the launch of new versions of phpbb and MX System (now called MXP) - it seems like the time could be right.

This poll is to help me see what you guys would like to happen.

I have several options that I could do:

1. Just start up a new site, like what Bemanistyle do every now and again. Everyone would have to re-register, etc.

2. Make a new site, but try and copy over everyones login details and personal profiles.

3. Make a new site, but with old posts kept as well (although the SQL database is starting to get quite full now - so may limit future expansion)

4. Just keep the site as it is.

Feel free to vote and/or comment below to help shape the direction of (possibly) things to come!

In first. :)

Although I voted for the restart option, if this was to go ahead I would like to see the competition feedback and results archived somewhere - anywhere, anyhow.
Simfile competitions aren't idiot-proof until I say so.

I voted keep everything and spruce up the site, allthough I do think the site looks fine as is. Anyway, I like reading the threads for old competitions, etc. It brings back good memories.

I agree with this.

Me too. I actually read back to older competitions quite frequently. Heck, it's really a great source of information for newer members just checking out the older packs. It's really such a shame that the only OSC's left to view are 5 and BoNG (you need to be crafty to find them, too), as the rest were destroyed by the restarting state of Bemanistyle 7.0.

I agree with the guys above mate - although the site would look awesome with a new updated look, I wouldn't want to lose a lot of the previous threads.

I think we could do with a serious "spring clean" to delete a lot of the crap to be honest, but the old contest threads and stuff are good to keep. I also wouldn't want to make everyone re-register (even though the vast majority of members are MIA...)

I love you all just the way you are.....don't change :)

BTW, I played DDR 4 times in the last 5 days. That's more than I've played in the last 3 years!! I'm going to see if my old mat works with my new computer and then I'll really be back!

There was a DS fusion machine in one of the arcades in Lanzarote, but I couldn't be bothered to play. Too hot and too much drinking to be done instead!

Weird - old Results aren't displaying anymore. Does this have anything to do with preparations to change this site? :|

If you mean the banners aren't displaying, it's because I had to delete the banners to save some space when it was getting tight, so that probably explains that. I'll try to find the time to type out the results...

I couldn't view the .txt documents or spreadsheets, either.

Yeah, some of them have been deleted as well - I still have them backed up, so as soon as tovus has setup some more space, I'll put them back up again ;)
