Well, I just thought it would be cool to launch on our 5th Birthday - plus it gives everyone time to get all the entries in they wanted to make, without rushing at the last minute (well, that's the plan!)

One question I would like to pose to everyone: should this pack be a community pack only, or would you like to see some form of competitive element (and if so how should we go about this)? I'm good with it being either, as the main reason for the pack is to make some kick arse simfiles - but I was thinking it would give some more feedback maybe if we had a bit of friendly competition :D

Any and all feedback welcome!

That's just what I needed really, it was just out of an exaggeration. lol.

A friendly competition would be fun. I was hoping that was apart of the bonus pack, but this could make up for it. (depending how well I do on my simfiles on this pack, which for now I'm not positive I won't earn numero uno :s ) Maybe we should make some list of other categories of who can win best graphics, best overall presentation, etc just so everyone can be a winner :D..

I think there should be a friendly competition as well, maybe Judged and Non-Judged? :)

I second for a friendly competition. It should bring back the excitement we used to feel on the previous packs.

I'd rather not have a Judged-Non-Judged portion but I wouldn't mind a casual category voting system (Best steps, Funniest, Best Presentation, Best song, etc.), like in some of previous Cheese Mixes.

How about a judged contest where the Song Choice counts AGAINST your score. That way people who pick good easy songs to step will be penalized, and people who pick tough to step songs will have a better chance.

That sounds like a great idea. I second it!

How would you define a tough to step song?

You wouldn't, just judge the SONG as normal and count the score as a penalty.

It needs to be more of an awards ceremony than a general contest. :D

I'm optimistic about my entries for once, most of them are well on the way.

I do have a problem though - I just got a new computer and as I can't find my old Adobe Premiere disc, I have no way of editing videos or music right now.
(I have other programs, but I have a certain method I use for stepfiles and I would rather stick to it.)

Boo. :(

So, how's everyone's files coming along? I've had a few of mine done for a while now 9I was saving them for something else, but decided to use them for this occasion). I've got graphics done for a couple of my older files I'm re-furbishing for this pack, as well.
