WIP: Dance Praise 2 Simfiles

I decided to purchase the game since it was on sale this Jan. and I also bought the expansion pack 7. So I have 89 songs (there was some bonus 2 song pack also). I have all the graphic images (which are just CDTitles in .png format) and I copied all the music with Line Out into decent quality .mp3's (with the announcer completely removed). I will start creating the stepcharts next weekend, and I plan to finish by the end of Febuary.

However I could use help.

If someone would like to make the images into BG and BN's (or make new ones), I would appreciate that.

If someone would like to make an all new stepchart for each simfile (there are currently 4 charts per song and none are that good) an additional chart that is fun to play would pimp out this pack.

Anyone willing to help? You obviously don't need the game to help out. If your wondering the charts won't be perfect copies from the game, pretty much all the charts have steps well into the fadeout and sometimes when there is no audio, and sometimes the steps begin way too early in the song. Also some of the freeze arrows are unusually long, I will keep the steps very very close to original but I may remove some steps at the beginning and end, and I may cut down some of the freezes. I'm going to do my copying by running Dance Praise on my PC and running StepMania on my laptop, then recording steps in the simfile live (I did the same thing for Mario Mix).

Again, 89 simfiles, I would like one custom expert chart per simfile (nothing hard, probably 6-9 foot), and if anyone would like to add the songtitle to the CD images and crop for banners, and maybe just expand the CD image and add a black border for backgrounds.

I'll probably upload to Z-I-V when I'm done. If nobody helps out then it will take me longer to release this since I'm bad at writing step-charts.

I'll help out with the step charts; making new ones that is. I released a simfile for "I Am Free" by Newsboys a while back and I know that song is in the game, so I'll probably make similar charts for that, and I have a simfile for "Alone" by Sanctus Real in my works in progress folder, but I think that song is from the first Dance Praise. I've been wanting to make more simfiles to help finish up the Heaven's Mix pack at bemanistyle, but obviously the motivation at bemanistyle isn't very high and that project has been dead for around a year now. I would need the .mp3's of the songs, though. You don't have to give me all of them though, like 10 for a start maybe. The Tobymac, Hillsong, and Jeremy Camp songs in the game would be fun to step, especially "Tonight". Maybe send some of those?

Yes it is, a genre that is severely lacking amongst the stepmania crowd.

Oh and one of the best features of the game are the lyrics (lyrics seem to be the only thing they did well) but since that would take quite some time to make 89 .lrc files I will not be including lyrics.

Here is what I have so far, I removed the .mp3's to decrease the filesize (it's 220MB with .mp3's).

The .dwi's are mostly fillers and will be until I get them synched.

The graphics are what is shown in the game, not edited at all. Someone please make the Mix banner as well, there was no graphic for the Expansion Pack 7, although I guess I could scan the box-art if needed.

The songlist is complete. If you just want a songlist you can download this pack. Please note David Crowder*Band, has the * but I couldn't include it in the file names. Otherwise the Song Title and Artist are exactally how they appear in the game, I just re-titled them obviously.

I don't know the original cuts, but I remember they were between 1:40 - 2:20 most of the time, which is a tad bit long, so if we have to re-cut them we can make them shorter, but sticking to the original length is fine by me. All we need are the .mp3's and this pack will be set for us to fix up.

As I've said earlier, I will be synching all the .dwi files and adding in the Dance Praise steps. After I do that I will upload the simfiles with steps and sync (and audio) so you can add in some good custom steps. All the songs are 2:24 for some reason, there are a couple 2:10 and one 2:44, I did not alter the length of the songs and I don't plan on it.

I still want to try to get done with the first 20 files by tomorrow, that means sync + steps, if I don't finish I'll have to find some time during the week (or delay the project).

I finished a Heavy step chart for Boomin'. It's a 7 footer that's mostly inspired by We Will Rock You. There's also a hint of Super Star in it. I tried to do something new with this chart, and I think I pulled it off for the most part, but any opinions would be appreciated.

I'm not good at project managing. Would someone else please take the incentive, I wouldn't want people wasting time by duplicating work.

Also please make all your charts EXPERT difficulities. Sure it's just a 7-footer but I'm going to be copying the original charts BEGINNER - EASY - MEDIUM - HARD, so therefore all custom charts will be EXPERT (or at least that's my intention right now).
